Typography

Royal St. George’s College uses a bold and structured typography system that reflects both our strong tradition and our forward momentum. Our primary typefaces are DIN Condensed for headlines and DIN 2014 for body copy.


The above fonts should be used preferentially. That said, there are some instances where they won't be available, as in some digital applications and Google Workspace materials. In those cases, please use: 

Basic Typesetting Rules

  • Never have more than two hyphens per paragraph.
  • Never set two hyphens consecutively.
  • Do not hyphenate the last full line of a paragraph.
  • Do not leave a widow (single word on a line) at the end of a paragraph.
  • Never set more than 57 characters across the text block.
  • Minimum text size is 8 point
  • Do not set lines too far apart or too close together.
  • Use two or three points of leading for each setting.

Always follow brand standards to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all communications.
